First Grade
St. Gregory Catholic School provides a safe and nourishing learning environment for all students. First grade is the transition year from early childhood education to primary education. In first grade, the stage is set for academic, spiritual, and behavioral standards that will be the cornerstone of the child’s educational success.
First
grade students are taught how to know, love, and serve God. They focus on respecting themselves and others, while contributing to the learning environment; and building student independence and responsibility. Our first curriculum concentrates on reading, mathematics and writing.
