Fourth Grade

Students in fourth grade experience a transition from a primary foundation to an intermediate academic structure. In all disciplines, students will be expected to perform as critical thinkers, self-disciplined learners, effective communicators and active faith followers of Christ. Fourth graders will experience hands-on learning, group activities, independent projects and guided instruction. A challenging, but secure and safe environment is evident so that the students feel comfortable in asking questions and voicing their concerns and opinions. Through moral decision-making, students will deepen their awareness of and reverence for Christ-like choices. The students are engaged in problem solving, and we appeal to their sense of curiosity by giving them opportunities to explore in all academic areas. The expectation is that students accept responsibility for their own learning while appreciating the joy of education. The key to success is to make certain that the students have open minds, hearts and imaginations.
