Second Grade
Second grade is an exciting learning and growing experience at St. Gregory Catholic School. Students interact in a safe classroom community that supports nourishment for the whole child. Students will grow emotionally, spiritually, academically and socially.
We strive to create a classroom atmosphere that is warm and engaging for all students. Learning is centered on inquiry-based discussions and hands-on activities. We teach using differentiated instruction to provide for and meet every child’s learning needs. By working in small groups and creating lessons that respect each student’s strengths, interests, and needs, second graders are able to make meaningful connections to their learning. In 2nd grade, students grow, deepen their understanding of core concepts, and take their new knowledge with them as they continue on their school journey.
