Tuition & Financial Aid-
We believe that tuition payments are an investment in your child’s education and religious formation. Therefore, St. Gregory Catholic School Board accepts responsibility for recommending to the Pastor policies concerning the amount of tuition, the manner of payment, and in general, the development of policy in this area of concern. It is the responsibility of the Board to ensure that adequate financial resources are available for the school, and that enrollment is as available and affordable as possible to all families.
Tuition Payments
All families shall be expected to make tuition payments on a monthly basis or to pay in full by July 1st of each calendar year. The family’s preferred manner of payment must be submitted each year, at the time of student registration. Unless indicated, payment will be submitted using the FACTS Tuition Management Plan.
Tuition rates are based on a three tier system:
- Active Registered St. Gregory’s Parishioner
Families who are registered, active, and contributing members of St. Gregory Catholic School Parish with children enrolled at St. Gregory Catholic School, shall receive the benefit of a scholarship to reduce the rates of tuition. The scholarship amount is based on the cost to educate the individual student and is determined annually by the School Board, with the approval of the Pastor. Active and contributing is defined as families who are officially registered in the parish for at least three months, support the parish financially through the envelope system ($500 minimum per year), and participate in liturgy at St. Gregory Catholic Church.
2. Active Registered Catholic at Another Parish
Families who are registered and contributing members of another Catholic parish shall also receive the benefit of reduced rates of tuition through a scholarship based on the cost to educate the individual student and to be determined annually by the School Board with the approval of the Pastor.
3. Non-active Catholic or Other Faith
Families who are not registered active Catholics or are members of another faith shall make tuition payments at a rate equal to the “Cost to Educate” a student. This rate is determined by the finance team of the School Board with the approval of the Pastor.

Scrip/Gift Card Program
Each family can reduce their tuition by $200 by choosing the scrip discount program. By choosing this discount you agree to purchase scrip/gift cards for groceries, restaurants, gas, entertainment, etc. which a percentage of the purchase is given back to the school by the vender. Families just need to buy enough scrip to provide the school with a net profit of $200 (based on the percentage given to the school by the vender). We strongly encourage all families to buy scrip/gift cards, which provides free money to the school, which reduces our operating costs and tuition rates.
Tuition Assistance
The Catholic Tuition Organization of the Diocese of Phoenix (CTODP) is incorporated as a non-profit Arizona corporation, tax exempt under section 501(C)(3), Internal Revenue Code. Its purpose is to receive payments and other revenue and distribute these funds for educational scholarships or tuition grants to children to allow them to attend qualified schools.
Each school year, every student entering one of the diocesan schools in grades K-12 who is interested in receiving scholarship support may complete an application for assistance from CTODP. The primary criteria for scholarships will be financial need. Based on the amount of money known to be available, scholarships will be awarded until all of the allocated funds are expended. Individual scholarships are limited to a maximum of 65-75% of tuition for elementary grade levels.
Once your child is registered you will be given a FAIR application to apply for Tuition Assistant through CTODP
